my pleco died today

yes, this pleco should have been closer to 18" in 7 years.

Right he should of been massive by the age of 7.

There are many plecos that don't grow massive at all, several varieties stay between 2”-11”.

he has always been in the 90 gallon since coming home from the LFS.

I'm sure the tank was fine, that may have just been his maximum size, fish are just as diverse as we are when it comes to size and appearance.

I'm sorry about your pleco. I don't know what made him died though.

That's sad to hear. My pleco died last week as well.
