My Pleco is not growing.

drop the algae pellets/wafers in about 20-40 min after the tank lights go off, make sure the fish are fully asleep when you do this, if they are still awake they will still go after the fish.

And if it is a bristlenose pleco....they LOVE zucchini!

I hope so. I've had one for six weeks that came in at about 2 1/2" and hasn't gotten too much bigger, but seems to be feeding on wafers and veggies very well. Hopefully they just grow slowly. :)

Upon closer inspection, and my wife cofirms it, he has a long string of poop quite often, so I think he must be eating something.

They always have long poop strings....and that is a good thing! Your pleco is full grown. They are very small plecos going anywhere from 3" to 6.5", most averaging around the 4" mark. One way to see how they are faring in the tank is to observe their bellies when they are up against the glass, should be nice and round, not sunken in. With only one pleco in that tank all this time, I think she's been eating fine. Once they reach adult size, they mostly cruise the tank at night to feed. Their first choice of food is the natural biofilm that grows on your tank glass, gravel, plant leaves, decorations, etc.

mine love a small, thin slice of pear. it's the only thing that'll get my male to come out while the lights are on. :) he's a bit odd and i was warned he's very seclusive when i got him. even for his species.
