So at my new place there is a fancy faucet in the kitchen. The normal fitting that connects the python to the sink is too big of a male threading. Also, the universal attachment that is supposed to just squeeze around the faucet if you dont have the right threading, will not fit because the outside of the faucet curves out (like a bell bottom). Yes I have removed the inner plastic rings of the python adapter to reveal the female threads and no, that doesnt help.

I have searched far and wide to find a male to male adapter that will screw into my sink as well as connect to the adapter that comes with python. To no avail. Hardware stores, no.. lowes, no.... home depot, not a chance. I can keep doing water changes on my 29g with buckets but there is no way in hell that I am using buckets when my 75 gets going.

Does anybody have a solution, a home remedy, anything?! I need this python to connect or else I dont get to have a 75gallon.

Any other sink you could use if you just picked up an extension hose for your python? That's what I had to do when we moved into our house because the kitchen sink is one of those faucet/sprayers connected to a hose. With the extension hose I can reach a bathroom sink which I can connect to just fine.

I had the same problem with my wetbar sink in the basement. I had a friend look at it who is a plumber, and even he couldn't find a solution. so we compromised-- I bought a new faucet ! Ended up costing me about $25 to fix. Good luck

forgot to say, same problem with the bathroom sink. Tomorrow I am going to 2 plumbing supply places. I guess the only other option would be to replace the faucet itself.

That's too bad. Too many fancy faucets with limited functionality.

You're probably right. But at least you should only have to replace one of the faucets.

So, wait, you have access to a threaded male connection? Home Depot sells female to female adapteres in PVC in the irrigation department. Same with male to male adapters.

Outside the store the garden dept, not inside.

all i have is the metal adapter that came with the puthon.
