I have had my rams for 3 days now and they still seem to shy way and swim for cover when I approach the tank they have plenty of hiding spaces. My neons however are always fighting (dont know why). Any one have any suggestions?

I have never kept rams but I think they are fairly shy by nature, so its probably expected that they will hide for a period of time before they get comfortable. I dont personally think there is anything wrong with them, but Im not a ram expert. good luck with them
They are relatively timid by nature, and being new, they probably aren't comfortable with their surroundings.
they are pretty cool fish, i like that they are real intuitive they seem to think about what they are doing they are fun to watch i cant wait until they are not scared of me :grinyes:I have had mine for about 2 weeks now and they are still jumpy when I first walk up to the tank..... but if I kneel in front of it for a second they will swim right up and look me eye to eye.... they are some pretty cool little fish
