Pretty fish

I've been thinking of getting a couple of rams. Where'd you get them? How do they behave with other fish? Peaceful? I have red-eye tetras and corys and wonder if some rams would be okay with them.

Nice female! (Mine is currently dying )

My German 'Heinz' is a little *******... He used to attack the ground feeder's eyes to chase them away so he could eat their food. He constantly intimidates my discus too (Although she does fight back when food is involved). He tends to leave the rest of the tetras alone though. He abused his female because she wasn't ready to mate, he would bite her genital region and now its got a huge infection and fungal growth (hospitalized now)...

I've been thinking of getting a couple of rams. Where'd you get them? How do they behave with other fish? Peaceful? I have red-eye tetras and corys and wonder if some rams would be okay with them.

I got these at a very nice Breeder-Supplied LFS about 45 minutes drive away from my house. Mine behave very well with other fish. Sometimes the male will nip corys, but no damage is ever done. The tetras and corys with them should be fine. I removed the corys from this tank tonight, and the only reason being their constant digging stirring up too much dust with the flourite substrate.

Thanks for the compliments. ^^ As soon as the female got let out of her bag, the male was instanely showing off. He won't leave her side now except at feeding time. =P It was odd, the female didn't stress out one bit. I let her out, and she was immediately eating 10 minutes later.

Thats a great sign.
