Ok.
My experiences (and those of many others) tell me that the Shrimp won't thrive with the fish. YMMV
It's possible that it just died. I've been lucky. I started with 25 (which all started breeding) and then split them and added another 25 (all shipped). I've hatched a quite a few hundred shrimplets and shipped those off as well along with giving them to friends.
I've had 3 die. 2 jumped up in a Fluval Edge and got caught in the small slot between the tank rim and the lid. I lost a huge female who had stopped laying eggs 6 months before and turned a dark red/purple after that. She was already large when I got her. Her body was 1-1/8th inches long and she was "robust" when she passsed. It was upsetting.
Have you got a KH/GH kit? Have you ever used copper in the tank for the other fish? You sure no Ammonia or Nitrites? Your PH at 7.2 is fine... it's more important that it remain stable.
