My saltwater setup

live rock set up

here's some pics of my live rock going into the main tank and 2 pictures of my fish in the 90 gallon. I lined the bottom of my tank with egg craft and also built a pvc stand. I did this for 2 reason. 1 for getting the live rock off the sand and 2 for looks. I added all my live rock with no water in the tank (easier to place stuff without getting wet) then added the live sand around that. I used 124 lbs of live rock in the tank. The water was then added from my 90 gallon sump and my 2 30 gallons. Took another day to get more water from my r/o unit to fill the 2 30 gallons and my 90 gallon to where I want it. Over a week I would change out 30 gallons of water into the fish holding tank and 30 gallons back into the main tank so the fish would go stress free during the move. I think I was more stressed than they were. My daughter is 4 months old now and I can put her in a swing or a chair and she sits there for hours watching the fish move. She loves them witch is making me a happy dad for the time being. Gives me time to work on the tank, watch Canada win gold medals and my loving wife time to sleep. What more could a dad ask for. At the moment all I got left to do is get the media for my calcium reactor and everything is finally done. Well other than getting my corals back off my friend. Hint hint Greg is you are reading this.

great work and equipment, wish my wife would say ok to 2 tanks but I guess a wife 2 young ones and 1 tank can be enough of a hobby also.

Thank you very much. you have to have your wife on your side of trouble will follow you there. I have both of my tanks hooked up to the same filter so thats helps out more than you can imagine. Would hate think of the cost having 2 protein skimmers, 2 calcium reactors, 2 phosban reactors, etc.
