hey-
i went to a nursery that is like across the railroad tracks from where i work. they ahd some clearance items there and well, i found buried in the back a huge 8 pound tub of carbon for sale. they wanted twenty bucks so i got it!

Activated carbon does lose its effectiveness to a degree if exposed to air. Keep the can sealed when not in use and you have a great supply. Congratulations!

thanks for the tip! the carbon is still sealed in a bag. pretty nice really, plus it came with a huge fine mesh net to hold the coal i guess.

i put it up on craigslist for sale. maybe someone will grab it.
