Deep in the heart of texas
A couple of weeks ago I posted that I thought I may have bumped my remaining ghost shrimp with the vacuum tube. She scurried away but later I noticed some reddened areas on her. Looked like she was sprinkled with cayenne pepper somewhat.

I don't know if that's what did it, but yesterday I noticed she seemed to be getting rather opaque, rather than translucent. Today I saw that near her tail there was an area of bright white coloration and her thoracic area was even more opaque than it was yesterday, but not as bright white as the tail area.

This evening she is gone. I don't know what happened for sure, but I'm afraid I injured her that led to this.

I feel so bad that I did this to her. I've had her for a long time. I only paid 33 cents for her, but I enjoyed seeing her flit around the tank.

So sorry to hear about your loss! At least you know you gave a 33-cent shrimp, who probably would have been lunch otherwise, a good life :)

LOL, yes she had a good life. No one in my tank wanted to eat her.

I'm sorry, Mel, for your loss. I also have vast coloration differences in ghost shrimp-- I will definitely keep an eye on them now.

So sorry. :(

Oh Mel, I am so sorry. I know you love your aquapets. But the upside is that you can get a new one or two or three......

So sorry for your loss Mel :(

I'm sorry Mel.
