Hi guys! I posted some pics a while back when I was starting my snail tank- I now have 16 brigs- black, brown, blue, white, magenta, bronze, pink- and one super cool dark purple one- They are thriving and growing but I am wondering if there is something I should give them particularly to help them keep their pearlescent shell shine.:-) Some of them are more "pearly" than others-hehe- don't know how else to describe it- the ones that are like that were that way when I got them- and I'm wondering if there's something I need to give the others to help them look this way, too-
I'll post some pics again soon- especially the dark purple on -he is so cool!
thanks in advance for all your suggestions-
Janet

and in case you are wondering I know that's a lot of snails but the tank is now 4+weeks old and I have 2 big ol hob filters and clean often and today the water tested perfect. They are happy healthy snails!:-)

Check out the sticky at the top of the Invert forum page. There is a section on how to make snail jello, which consists of gelatin, baby food, calcium supplement (powder) and whatever else you would like to add.

The calcium is necessary for healthy shell development. It will help keep your snails happy and healthy.

There is also a list of what vegetables you can feed that have a high calcium content.
