i just got the snails that were sent to me and they are floating in my tank right now. they are ramshorns, MTS, and pond snails, along with plants and moss. do i just dump them into my tank after letting them adjust to the water temp? or do i need to root the moss and plants into my gravel?

also should i mix the water? or should i dump out the water that the snails are in and just put them into my tank's water?

hopefully my algae levels will decrease in the next week or so.

Plants and moss came along with you snails? If the snails are hiding in/attached to them, put them in the tank together so they have a place to hide and feel comfortable.

Don't put the water that they were shipped in into the tank. Too many bad things can be in that water. Just put the snails and the plants into the tank.

Check up on the snails every few days to make sure they're still alive. Put them in a corner of the tank see if they move around. I recently experienced the deaths of all my newly arrived trapdoor snails in my tank. Most never came out of their shells but the few that lived on for a few days must of died from shock or something else. Ramshorns and MTS are hardy little guys so most of those will survive. Not sure about pond snails.
