MY SNAL IS ACTING WEIRD

SHOULD I BE WORRIED?MY SNAL IS IN AND OUT OF ITS SHELL.HE IS ABOUT 4 INCHES LONG AND ACTING WEIRD.

Does the snail come completly out of it shell?

If it is a whelk...and it looks like one, I'd not want it in my tank as they are predators. As for it coming out of it's shell it isn't completely unheard of but it isn't common either. Are you seeing it kicking instead of extracting itself? Or worse yet are you seeing it preying on another snail?

IT DOES NOT COME COMPLETELY OUT OF HIS SHELL BUT HE IS FUTHER OUT THEN I HAVE EVER SEEN AND VERY ACTIVE TODAY.THERE ARE NO OTHER SNAILS IN THE TANK AS OF NOW.HE CLIMBED A ROCK THEN FELL OFF.THEN WAS ON HIS BACK. NOW HE IS CLIMBING THE GLASS AND HAS NOT STOPPED MOVING IN A WHILE.
