my sons fish

a couple things...
you mentioned not liking them either.... how, exactly, did you come into posession of them originally, then?
also, they are not "being mean"... as they are hybrid cichlids they are actually aggressive/territorial... and, will increasingly be "so" as they grow! and, THEY will indeed grow... well, unless ya resort to the "tried-and-true" method of with holding food... then, they JUST die..!

and, for the record... i am also one of "those people" that say boo to hybrids.. he he!

well its kind of funny because i did not really like them when i saw them but it was one of those situations where they needed saved. I was looking around in the pet store and they were just layin in the bottom of the tank. They were both missing some of their fins and they were the only two so i guess i felt bad so i bought them.
As for "with holding food" I would never have the heart to do something like that. They are upstairs in my sons room so they dont get much attention but my son always feeds them and watches them when he goes to sleep at night. It also serves as his night light as he is only two.

my son loves it. And i do not think it is because of the light as much as it is that he like to watch the fish. I hear him at night and he is always sayin "fishy" lol
