For that reason I have never agreed to increase the temperature when signs of ich are observed, both in fresh water and in salt water, when you are sure of the disease then it's better to medicate because temperature changes only bring more stress to a fish that is already having a hard time. So IMO that doesn't help at all.
My tank is doomed...
