My tank...thoughts?

p.s. I put in all the new plants and little hiding places, and my platies and guppies are still insisting on shoving behind my heater to hide...

Maybe the overall tank temp is a bit too cool? My tetras did that--I just upped it by 1 degree each day til it seemed right and they stopped. Just make sure it's a small rise each time, a change too drastic can cause problems. Good luck--great looking tank!! congrats (it always takes tweaking to get things just right--and then you wanna start allover again!)
Happy trails, ~r :hi:

p/s I'm using fake plants in my cichlid tank as they uproot--the long fancy ones, bamboo and something else with little leaves. They're tall and then float across the top. Perfect!!

The water is kept at a steady 78-79 degress, so I don't think they're cold. They have adusted to the new setup and are swimming more in the open and hiding in the plants instead of near the heater. They just needed a day or two to adjust.
