My tank

It's cool ... but very difficult. .. This plant grows quite slowly and so far I only have a few young plants. Mother plant is full of bars and wait to see if anything comes of it. Young plants in the picture are cut at the bottom of mature plants (the same as blyxa japonica). Now I have some problems with bba algae ... I found pH below 6 in my tank, (estimate ph 5.5) and I turned on surface skimmer to increase gas exchange, now the pH is 6.2.erio.jpgph.JPG

Thank you!

Last week I received my new set of bulbs (old one already had 1 year and 9 months). I chose the same combination:3 bulbs (2x6500K+1x3000K) 39 Watts each.

Do you keep track of Co2 using a ph/kh chart? Or do you just use a drop checker? What do you keep your levels at?

I haven't seen that test, can make out what it is? I had bought a Co2 test kit long ago but it was unusable only 2 colors pink and clear didn't do any real measuring.

I just reread the entire thread, Gee, I can't believe I've never commented on your tank it all it's beautiful variations. You have a real talent, thank you for your inspiration!

I use 5 different tests to estimate ph (depending on water hardness and the level of CO2). I use table rarely ... most times I am guided by pearling plants and test results... Ph test has a very high precision (ph 0.2 accuracy)
