My tank

Thank you!
Perhaps the answer to your question is in this picture. Not always fertilized with the same dose of K or PO4, Mg, NO3..etc, etc. I do tests before the water change, and adjust fertilizers values for the next week ... looking to be in the "safe" zone of tests.
Any imbalance between fertilizer will produce algae...And I hate algae. I prefer to fight with them on the table, not in the tank...

this is great, i normally start dosing my tanks with a chart and every amount high, and then add less and less until i reach the perfect balance, but your idea of testing then adding what you need sounds way more efficient. what are your ideal balances of each

Thank you all!

what are your ideal balances of each

My target: NO3:10-20ppm, PO4:1,2-1,5ppm, K-20-30ppm, Mg 6-10ppm, Ca 30-50ppm, Ph 5,8-6,2, KH 4-5, GH 5-6, CO2 20-30ppm,
Fe 0,3-0,5ppm.
Sometimes these values are significantly unbalanced ... and then increase (or decrease) the dose of some fertilizers, depending on requirements...It is not an exact science.
