My tank

KingOfTheDeep said:
its already a problem

africans like hard water, with a ph of 8.5-9.0 where as goldfish like it at 6.5-7.0 either way, one of these species is suffering

any way you can put the goldfish or cichlids into a new tank? or possibly give the goldfish to a local LFS and get a PH buffer?
that would be your best bet..

also..my apologies if im coming off as a prick, no intentions of that, just trying to help

ph buffer is horrible for tanks, a steady ph is most important and goldfish can be kept in hard or soft water.

ok enough about all that stuff. what do ya'll think about my tank lol. its starting to take shape
I like it overall, but the plants on one side only give it kind of a lopsided appearance.

yea, hopefully soon i will get a few more plants. not sure if i should get some live plants. have heard a few horror stories about them making nitrates go therough the roof and stuff. if not ill buy some when i get the money

I believe that this all has already been explained to him here Let's not beat a dead horse.....
