well it seems that last night some time my bleeding heart tetra's ate my fancy tail guppies. my tank is 15g and the water is tested all the time .I have lots of plants all doing well. I had 6 guppies and 5 tetra's, all seemed fine till last night. and now the tetra's are all hideing as if they know im pissed. any help?:help2:

my serpae tetras (pack of 5) turned evil in a tank i had years ago and killed off my angels and swordtails and all my neons very upsetting as there normally nice fish ;-(

To my knowledge, while they may nip, it seems odd that Bleeding Hearts would swallow guppies whole. Were the guppies completely gone, or did you see bodies in the tank?
The reason I ask is that often times a fish will get accused of eating another because it's seen pecking at the body of the deceased, when in fact it's just scavenging a fish that died from some other cause (water quality issues, etc.)

well 1 guppy was untouched and 4 were alive with no fins and 1 was gone.

Ok, that does sound like the bloodfins are going feral. Have you separated them? That's pretty much going to be your only option.

yes only the tetras in the tank now. but i want a few fish that will get olong with them. Maybe i will just go with a few more tetras.

thanks guys, do you recomend a bottom feeder... tank is 15g planted

You could go with 4-6 normal sized cories (aeneus/paleatus/julii/sterbai). If you get habrosus "dainty" cories, you can go with a dozen.
