As long as you have enough hiding spots and things to break up lines of sight, they should be fine

I like the blue base, but yes, Asian aros are banned in the US

Good. They get over one ft in lenght.

One foot? More like 3 feet That’s not why they’re banned, it has to do with their endangered status. Large fish are fine here. The silver arrowana gets over 3 feet and is very common. Ret tailed cats are sold in almost every LFS and they get 4-5 feet

Lol no worries, many common fish that people buy on a whim actually get very big, tinfoils and balas are a good example. I see people all the time buy common plecos thinking they’re a good clean up fish not knowing how big and messy they are
