If I remember correctly my two angel fish when I got them were all white with black stripes, Now it could be the lack of good lighting up until now, but I am noticing brown coloring going from the mouth, along the upper half of the fish and around back to the tail fin area.

Is this a problem or is this normal.
I ask because I don't remember seeing this in the 10G.
I'm just wondering if their sick.
I'm hoping its just me being a worry ward, and it was the bad lighting in the other tank that I did not notice this.

Heres a picture of them recent. I dunno if you can make out the brown coloring. Please let me know if not I'll try to take a better picture.

They're perfectly fine. This is the normal coloration for them. Maybe they're just coloring up a bit, or the lighting was wrong.

Looks normal to me and like a few my wife has.

Phew... :thud:

I was worried for a moment there.

Thanks for the clarification.

I breed silvers for that crown coloration. If you feed a flake with betacarotine that brown will turn rust, or even orange. This is where the orange crown in gold marbles originates. Successful crosses between a gold marble & a blusher give you a gold marble blusher, more commonly known as koi.

Very jealous right now! haha

I saw a pair at my LFS exactly like yours. But they weren't for sale. =( Still looking though.
