My two chinese algae eaters have "disappeared"

Thank you to all who have responded :dance2:

My hubby and I decided to take everything out of the tank, decorations, plants, etc and look under the gravel and do a cleaning at the same time. Well.....no chinese algae eaters.....anywhere.......possibly in sombody's tummy (now fish doo doo) or as somebody suggested maybe they both died and decomposed mucho rapido  Our catfish is such a goober and a fraidy cat (no pun intended) that I don't think he is the suspect.....Our 3 giant piggy goldfish on the other hand may have ganged up on the CAE's if they were trying to attach themselves, as I have read that CAE's do upon reaching maturity. :shark:

Somebody said something about the fish we have together not being compatible but I researched before adding any newcomers. And up until this incident we had a joyful tank.

We have not had luck with our algae consuming fish so we will just depend upon keeping the tank clean, not letting sunlight hit it, and some wonderful chemicals I have found that say they are not harmful to fish....oooh I just had a horrible thought...I wonder if it was harmful to the fish that eat algae. The label didn't say anything....Man I would really feel awful if I killed my two little guys...Back to read the label further... :read:

thanks again...nice to "meet" all of you...
