Hes got a 75 gallon cichlid tank set-up, and you won't believe his stocking levels and maintenace.
Hes got 39 African Cichilds in that tank, where atleast 90% are 4 inches or bigger. Hes then got two common plecos, where one is 5 inches and the other 8 inches. Then hes got a cat fish in there, that is only around 2 inches currently, but them suckers grow. Finally, hes got two clown loaches in the same tank who are both 4 inches, a Siamese Algae eater, and two red skirt tetras.
Now to make things worse, hes got about 30-40 pounds of lava rock in there, and a single sword that is decaying like hell. He also overfeeds (big time). He throw about three full finger pinches atleast 4-5 times, twice a day, then throws in some shrimp pellets (6-7), and some Algae discs. His plecos crap like hell, his tank is full of algae. Now you think you'v heard it all right? Well, he does water changes of 10-15% bi-weekly or monthly when hes busy and i don't he ever cleans the gravel deeply, just picks up the crap from the plecos on top.
The most increible part, the tank has been set-up for atleast 6 months now, and hes never had a single fish die. When he first got his tank he threw in 8 Cichlids without cycling the tank, and had nitrite readinsg over 40ppm, yet not a single fish gone. I have no idea how his fish are still alive, and happy.
NUTS!!
