I'm so happy with the results I have so far with my total transfer from 30 to 80G tank!
(Knock on wood)
Everything is going according to plan.
(quick back story I was in the hobby like 20 yrs ago and am back now, a little over 6 months)
I got a 30G and well brought it to what I thought was perfection and decided it was too small hehe
I really couldn't afford ( after dropping a ton in the first) to get 2 going at the same time (right now) So I got a second hand 80G with stand and alot more on craigslist.
I transfered all over to the new (used) 80 and did the cycle with all the old bio. Started with fluval 404 used pads and all then added gravel, rocks and plants.
Then a week later moved the fish and only lost one.
An ID that smacked himself to death.
(I had one remaining ID and he was returned to the store after another thread discussion here)
Only thing above norm is po4 and I think thats because of the waste in the gravel. I rinsed but barely to maintain the biological matter on the stones.
So on with some pictures
I am happy with the progress and see lots of fun to come for many years
