My upgrade from 30 to 80 G

sweet tank build

My babies,
the white one has black stripes but they come and go depending on his mood.
He is 2" top to bottom.
The little marble one is only an inch.
They are quite the pair :)

The tank would look better with black background.

I agree and changed it today to black.
Pics to follow soon.
Also added another co2 system (not diy I like the clean hob canisters and ladders and diy the recipe).
For fish I added 3 red eyes to hopefully bring my lone soldier out of hiding but so far he is still timid.
Also for a contrast to all the neons and cardinals I added 6 glowlights.
They are blending and have schooled a few times :)
Looks wicked 10 red- blue/greens mingling with 6 bright orange.

The new red eyes are running a muck and getting the bleeding hearts a pumpin.
The neons and cards are zig zagin in school (awesome)
The 2 angels are up high picking on each other ..sheesh! (just mild poking).
Fantail waiting for his cuccumber fix hehe.
No new plants :(
My lfs told me ( they are that cool) that they get second picks after another larger franchise close buy (but not close enough for me).
I do want to buy online, Have bought everything else off of e-bay.
But this is live material. Kinda woried about border rules from US or other to here in Canada.

Lovely tank! I don't mind the background, when the plants fill in I think black would be better. You might want to look on buy/sells of forums such as:
http://canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/

Don't even bother getting live plants from the US to Canada...huge hassle, is what I've heard. Getting them from somewhere based in Canada already would be much easier, I imagine. Try websites like:
http://www.ottawaaquatics.ca/
http://www.tntaquatica.com/plant.htm

Hopefully, their minimum order requirements won't be too high! That's what generally stops me from ordering online from websites directly...vs. forums or eBay.

I wonder if craigslists or kijiji would be worthwhile to look into for plants and such?
So random though, no sellers ratings or anything..
Yeah the last backround was driftwood and lots of plants.
Someone told me to oil the back with cooking oil or vaseline and I did it and well it was way to overbearing! (vibrant though)
So I had to wash down the backside like it was in an oil slick and got the all black.
Now all my colors are vibrant but it's a wee bit empty lol
