See you @ PhotoIsland!

ahh fudge. it said 'you have exceeded the max number of daily visitors'. now i have to stay up till 12:01 tonite to be the first in on march, 5th.

awesome tanks. worth the wait.

clam dinner pic. does filbert eat clams too? i have tried mussels / clams with my fahaka. both whole and cracked. an he didnt get too excited about them [i guess they are no fun to chase and kill]. the cracked ones the oscar and the rtbs would eventually clean up.

oh and for some reason, i thought you were a dude. pic 19 cleared up that misconception.

Filbert eats it all: earthworms, crickets, frozen & freeze-dried krill, oyster, clam, mussel, scallop, crab leg, shrimp & crayfish. I buy them at the fish dept/grocery store, freeze & thaw in warm water to feed. It took a while for him to realize some of it was food.

Watch out for your oscar & any other fish...he even ate the edge of my softshelled turtles shell! He's moved out of there now. I may have to move my 10" plecos soon, too.

i already removed the oscar. [sorta too bad, because for some reason, the oscar would eat the fahaka poop. a nice recycling system]

have you ever put a mirror in front of filbert? dont mean to freak him out intentionally, but i realised my puffer spends all his time on the end of the tank that is not near a wall mirror. might have to move the background over to see if it makes a difference.

mine hasnt eaten a cricket since he was a about 4" but still goes for the occasional meal worm.

Filbert always hangs out at one end of the tank. I never even see him swimming in 1/2 of the tank. He always sleeps in the same corner.

I purchase 1000 crickets/3 weeks, so I always have some on hand. I bought my GSPs at 2" so they ate them right away. If your are eating mealworms, I'd try crickets. That's why I named one of them Cricket. He loves them!
