Here's my 20 gallon tall glass mosaic tank and one Red Cap Oranda, Jack.

The mosaic is made of 1 inch glass tiles, laid on the bottom, glued to the back with aquarium silicon. I have one otoclinus who keeps the tiles spotless.

When Jack gets a little bigger I plan to set up a 45 gallon corner tank with mosaic on both back wall and get him a companion.

The last picture is one of my congo tetras in the 75 gallon community tank.

definetly different - nice work.

The plants look out of place. I think a dinner plate with silverware would be a nice touch. Or maybe a kitchen appliance such as a toaster or a blender.

lol. j/k

Unusual, but nice job!

I agree about the plants being out of place. They were on sale and I've been too busy to think lately. I'm not so sure about the plate and silverware--but let me think about that.... ;)

I think I'd like live plants in pots, but am not sure what will hold up to a goldfish. The goldfish does swim in and out of the fish pitcher, which is cute-until he gets too big and gets stuck, but that should take awhile. And the tank is a breeze to clean-with no gravel the filter does a good job sucking up all the poops. There is very little to vacuum when I do the water changes.

I bought the tiles from a pile of leftovers for half price (but still expensive). About half were clear and half had a metallic finish. The clear ones are best in the tank-the metallic pretty much all look the same under water. When I do a bigger corner tank, I'll get all transparant tiles in shades of clear, light green and blues and make the bottom and the corner walls into one design. And I'll try to figure out a way to make the filter intake and return less visible.

I'd like more bubbles, but my air pump is underpowered.
