On a semi-related note, I wonder how Pomacea diffusa got the name "Mystery Snail" in the first place.. did someone just confuse them with Viviparidae and the name just stuck?

Or they just didn't know what a Pomacea diffusa was, and so called them... Mystery snails. I've seen "Mystery Shrimp" for sale on Aquabid
I think I'm going to set up a tank full of mystery snails, mystery shrimp and mystery plants. Then I'll write a novel about it.
