Alright!!!! The gloves are coming off now. Maybe we should get us a bookie
Seriously though, Is it just me or does it seem that more people on AC are starting to keep more Discus? I remember when when a very few people had them? I'll be so glad when I move so I can set my Discus tank back up.

Beautiful fish. I have always preferred the natural specimens to the tank-raised strains. Yours appear to be in great shape. Keep us posted on how they are doing. By the way, what do you feed them and what are your maintenance and filtration practices (for the benefit of those who do not yet have discus but might one day make the leap).

70gal juwel tank (not sure if you get these over the pond)
fluval 304 and a large internal filter made by juwel (german)
approx 1.8w/gal 12hrs a day
2x200w heaters tank temp. of 30c
medium planted with swords and vallis(intend to add more varieties)
30gal/day "purity on tap" ro unit. i use 100% ro as i feel adding tap water to raise hardness defeats the object of using ro. loads of heavy metals in this part of the world. buffer back to 70ppm using kent ro right.
ph 6.6
20% water change every 4 days with gravel vac (or sand as i have).
Inhabitants:
4 red turq discus approx. 3 inch
2 wild green discus approx 5-6 inch
7 cardinals
8 panda cories
I feed 2-3 times a day. 4 if not working.

Hikari discus red colour enhancer pellets
Diskusin (again not sure if you get this)Diskusin Info
and live brineshrimp at least once a week.
