Here are a few pics of my new Yashia Goby, dose he look healthy. He is eating but was hiding in the corners of the tank but moved to the sand today.

I was thinking about getting a pistol shrimp, but the tank is in my bedroom and i was concerned about the noise. Are they very loud?

i dont know how loud pistol shrimps are but i have a mantis tank and he gets pretty loud at times but nothing i cant sleep through
I actually haven't heard him snap. The tank is in my living room so that may be why though. I've only seen the shrimp twice since I introduced it. He just hangs out in his burrow. They have each dug burrows under LR at opposite ends of the tank.
From what I've read, the Mantis shrimps are MUCH louder than pistols and supposedly capable of breaking glass.
yes mantis are capable of breaking glass but it is only the very large smashers like full grown peacocks that can break glass and even then it is pretty rare
