Myriophyllum aquaticum (Green)
I found some of this stuff at petsmart the other day (Saturday) and added it to my rank. It was a bit bent over at the time and about 5inches tall. Twenty four hours later it was about 7 inches tall and I figured it had just straightened out. The first bit reached the top of the water today, that is about 12 inches from the substrate.
I checked at the tropica site today and they say this stuff is difficult, needs a rich substrate, CO2 and high light. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with this plant. I can move it into a part of the aquarium that has less light and a less fertile substrate. I am wondering if that would slow it down, and if it would stay there or do the let go of the roots thing and become a floater.
