okay i know this is going to be hard if not impossible but i got this new plant- wasn't labeled of coarse.

the drawing is only for establishing the shape of the leaves and how the plant grows.

the leaves have a ripples in the texture, it creates little indents, and shadows.

i looked on the planted tank and plant geek and couldn't find it.

hope you have ideas! thanks-Kyle

Looks like in the sword plant family (Echinodorus).

nope it's not a java- has more texture on the leaves and it has a long stem before the leaf starts-

. . . .someday i'll get a battery for the camera

Well, it could honestly be anything that everyone has suggested -- except the java.

It could be anubias Afezelii. Could be a crypt. Could be a sword.

The problem is that color and leaf length and width are really important.

We need a picture ;)

I thought peace lily as well. Is it a really dark green, rather thick leaves compared to most aquatics?

Since the peace lily isn't a true aquatic (but often sold as one) that might explain why you couldn't find it on the other sites.
