Hi all, I got one of these as a hitchhiker about 6 mo. ago and within the last 3, it has continued to "split" so now I have 9. They are green, 1/2 - 3/4 inches wide and look exactly like a mini BTA. I even target feed them once a week with either shrimp or squid, and they seem to love it. They stay in a small area and don't bother my fish or corals, and are actually pretty neat. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Do you have a camera? Otherwise, google aptasia and see if that is what you have. If it is, you need to kill them. I have had great luck with peppermint shrimp. You have to make sure they are the true peppermint though. Camel shrimp look almost exactly like pepps. Keep us informed, please.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, my camera is on the fritz...I do know for sure that it isn't aptasia. It looks exactly like a mini bubble tip amenome. It is a very deep green with a pink "mouth". Also, it reproduces very slowly by splitting off of the "mother". I will try to borrow a camera and get a shot.

Thanks!

They could be zoo's or it could be a majano anemone. Zoo's are really cool !and Majono "sp" are sometimes cool. Some of them breed about as fast as Atapsia. Yours don't sount like they are going to do that,"trust me you would have noticed by now." Congrats on which ever the case may be.
