Hello,

So I have been trying to nurse my Hovercraft Cowfish back to health for the last 2 weeks, and unfortunately the battle was lost.

I had him for 3 months and he was great, then my damsels decided to start attacking him and he got a case of ick from the stress. The damsels were removed as soon as I witnessed a harassing.

I tried everything except copper to cure him, but it got worse and worse.

Today my scooter blenny died. What the hell?

He didn't have ick. he looked fine yesterday. The test on water are all good.

I can't figure it out. Any insite? The Cow was the only one who had any signs of ick.

2 weeks ago I had:
2 damsels
1 cowfish
1 scooter
1 clownfish
1 dartfish

now I have:
1 dartfish
1 clownfish

I would suspect that the other fish also had ich, just not a clinical level where you could see the spots on the skin, confined mostly to the gills. However, the bigger problem for the scooter may have been competition for food--both the cow and the scooter rely heavily on pods for food. Sorry about the loss.

I fed them both mysis shrimp which they loved. A long with some algae wafers and occasional seaweed. They both ate extremely well.

I dunno... it sucks. That Cow was the bomb. I hope I can find another one that was that entertaining.

Hey, how long should I wait before I could start restocking?
