Hey that's it! Mosquitofish. A perfect match. Now, how did it end up in our pond with goldfish bought from a store? LOL
It was those pesky birds! They are known for importing fish and plants into ponds. Eggs or peices of plant stick on to them. Just be lucky its a fish, and not some kind of aquatic weed. Some plants are a serious problem in lakes. In some areas, they are strict about washing down your boat before and after you leave and enter the water. It just takes a little peice of plant or an egg to get things started.
