Surprise fry showed up in my corydoras eques tank... not cory fry!
Got some plants from a friend, so will have to see what it develops into, if it makes it :D
Keeping an eye out for more.
Made a makeshift breeder net out of a media sock inside a cut container ring, to allow water flow but keep the tiny guy contained so he doesn't get sucked up by the filters in the tank.

Only fish in the tank are the corydoras eques

Not gourami, its too active and quick moving. Gourami fry dont wiggle and dart around as much as this guy.

Lol ive raised countless gourami fry, can tell without a doubt this is not a labyrinth fish fry.

Free swimming gourami fry at the same size have fatter heads and shorter bodies.

I have contacted my friend i got plants from for this tank, they also do not keep labyrinth fish outside of a male betta! I have some guesses from what he has that this might be, but we won't know for sure for awhile, until it's bigger.

But 100% is not sparkling gourami or any other labyrinth fish fry.

He does have schooling fish in his tanks the plants came from... I have a list of candidates it could be, but im leaving it a surprise.

As for an update on THIS fry, its taking microfoods well and doing just fine in the little mesh basket. Swap out the floaters couple times a day to replenish any living critters on them from the main tank.

Hes the little stick with 2 black eyes on the left side of the salvinia

He is too small to put in with my emperor tetra fry, they'd eat him i think at this stage.
