I got this stuff a while ago and it was label Christmas Moss. Since then I've seen christmas moss in tanks and it looks nothing like what I have. This stuff grows really well but doesn't really attatch to rocks like java moss will. It's stringy and just tangles up in itself and other plants. It's a very nice bright green as well.
Here's a picture.

X2 on Utricularia. Looks exactly like the stuff I used to have. I didn't like it because it made a huge mess, worse than hair algae. Baby shrimp are too big for it to catch.

Weird everything I look at online it has stems and branches differently.

I'll have to look for different pictures. I guess I will have to remove it. Too bad I liked it since it grew so fast and covered up my heater well. But I can't risk my inverts.

You don't have to destroy it if you don't want to. The only legitimate reason to destroy it would be that it's a "weed" and that it can be invasive. Inverts-wise, I don't think the bladderwort will do any damage. I used to have bladderwort many years ago and it did nothing to my livestock. Don't feel that you have to destroy or push away something that did not work for someone else -- what may or may not work for others, may or may not work for you. :)

U. gibba. Its a real pain to get rid of all of it too. It won't hurt the shrimp or fish unless they get tangled in it somehow.
