I need something to cleanup the leftovers from the bottom of my fry tank. I read someplace that it was ok to place one in there with the free swimming fry. The angelfish fry will be two weeks old very soon. Do you think they will be ok at night? I'm not worried about them in the day because ive seen the fry swim away from the snail if he gets close. But I'm worried that the snail will find them when it's dark and eat them.

Do I have anything to worry about? Should I keep the snail in there all night?

Yes you can keep the mystery snail in with it as long as the babies are free swimming. I just preferred to clean up excess foods with daily 50% water changes. It is very healthy for the fry to have daily water changes and gravel vacs. Because of that I never really worried about needing something to clean up the food. Daily water changes with them at that age are vital to their health. It is too easy at this stage for them to get bacterial issues that will deform their fins and body shape so clean water helps prevent it.

I'm at every other day water changes as of now. My work schedule is very demanding right now so I'm just trying to keep it as clean as possible. But I do vac when I can. All I'm worried about is when the lights go off if they are ok...

Well, mystery snails are not known to be fry eaters, egg eaters yes, but not fry. You can try it but keep in mind that the snails are huge producers of waste. They may be cleaning up left over food but are also causing issues with their poo. I'm not sure that adding them will accomplish much. Just trading food for poo IMO.
