Mystery snail magic

theres a snail in my fishtank that magically appeared. i luled
what should i do

It is probably a common ramshorn or pond snail, don't overfeed and it will not overpopulate.

I agree with petluvr. Definitely don't overfeed. I did in my 10g and now I went from a couple to 50 in no time. Usually they came in from new plants.

I put them in my betta tanks so they have "friends" lol.

lol i think ill just put it in my other tank. its weird though because ive been dosing with ammonia so i would think it would be dead.. never thought snails were so hardy

Seriously. I had a single nerite, then bought a plant with some pond snails in it (that I wasn't aware of) - Got rid of all the pond snails. Now, I'm finding baby nerite snails. How'd THAT happen?
