Delawhere?
Which is better for algae control? My snail died a month or 2 so ago and I just spent hours scrubbing plants, tank, wood. Not sure if there is a small enough algae eater for my tank (I plan to add a couple platies to my sig). I hate to clean!

I agree that bridgesii are not efficient algae eaters. Do you need something for algae control? Mystery snails are wonderful additions to tanks as they are full of personality.

My mystery snail was very cool, and people loved to watch it. It definitely helped with algae, which I didn't realize how much until it was gone. I think I still had more algae than I prefer, before it died. So I'm considering another critter!

There are a couple of snailoptions. Olive nerites are exceptional algae eaters, as are zebra nerites, and clilthon (spikey) snails.

It sounds like snails are winning!

i like my bristlenose pleco too (just had to say that to add some diversity to the responses, LOL).....NERITES FTW!

I love my olive nerites that I got from msjinkz. They are such good algae eaters that I have to feed them wafers to make sure they get enough. I have 4 of them in a 10 gallon.

Didn't mean for this to turn into an invert thread, but any reason not to have 1 of each (snails that is)? I don't want a snail factory!
