Mystery snail siphon question?

Wikipedia says Mystery snails do not have siphons. It sounds like pet stores are actually selling Apple snails mislabeled as Mystery snails. Other site says Apple snails are often misidentified and sold as Mystery snails. I´m no pro, but it seems like everyone here owns Apple snails...as do i, as i just saw my ¨Mystery Snail¨ use it´s siphon and lead me to this site trying to figure out what it is.
