I think some of my fish may have myxobacteriosis. The fins on my clown loaches, bala sharks, and dwarf guaramis (not to mention my rainbow shark) have turned partially or fully black. So far, I have not been able to find a remedy at the store or for sale online. Do you think that possibly using a cure-all bacteria medication may work? Any other suggestions or experiences?

oh, yeaz. I am not showing any of the other symptoms, like bloating, have I possibly misdiagnosed?

Im confused aswell!!

Hey Guyz,
My fish has got Myxobacteriosis also!! There just goldfish but i would like to cure them all the same cause there my goldfish!! It has been impossible to even find any sites in Australia that even have it listed let alone find a cure!! Cold this be the terminal ilness that will affect Aquarists all over the world!! There has to be a way to get some Phenocide or find out at least what it was made of!! I think it is obvious that nearly all sites with information regarding Myxobacteriosis have have just cut and pasted the material from the same place! This disturbes me greatly....

As far as I know, there is only one medication designed specifically for myxobacteriosis--Phenocide by Aquatronics.

Unfortunately, Aquatronics seems to have gone out of business. Web searches show no availability of Phenocide... Whata dilly of a pickle.
