Alright we all know that plants need the carbon from co2 to do that awesome thing they do. Now I hear that people substitute co2 infusion by dosing with excel which adds carbon to the water. Now bear with me, activate charcoal is basically carbon. Wouldn't leaving the charcoal in the tank, filter etc after it had absorbed everything cause it to wear away and basically add carbon to the water column and settle to the substrate. Just a question that hit me when I found t5 fixtures at home depot. Thanks
