I currently have a 29 gallon freshwater tank setup and I am thinking of making it into a saltwater tank.
What equipment do i need to convert this tank? I currently have a filter and heater.
I am mainly interested in keeping fish and probably some live rocks also.
Thanks in advance.

Well i probably dont need to tell you this but you will need salt mix, most people use sand substrate a hydrometer or refractometer a saltwater compatible test kit.Probably a skimmer.

As far as skimmers I would look into the CPR Bak-Pak2, AquaC Remora, and the HOB Coralife.

Powerheads: Maxji-Jet, Hydor Koralias and tunze

In a 29 gallon noob set-up, you're not likely going to have livestock that is very sensitive or releases a huge bioload. Skimmer is optional. Hydrometer can be used in place of refractometer.

You could always set up a sump/refugium. They are very good for any tank.
