Name my fish...

Get your new friend a couple of more kuhlies...they like a group of their own kind. Then you can use more of the suggested names :D They also seem more secure with some good hiding places to dart to.

I'm not really up on crayfish, but have your checked it out...will he be snacking on his tankmates?? Don't want to see you loose any of your little buddies..that gets ahrder when you name them.

I'm setting up a Loach Motel" now downstairs. I'll move him there with some other loaches when it's done cycling (don't like fishy cycles I feel it damages the fish...).

My cray is extremely docile, he's too fat and happy eating snails, shrimp (cocktail shrimp and live ghost shrimp), pieces of fish, algae wafers, and any flakes that make it past everything else.

I put him in there at about 1" (caught in the wild as bait, but was granted a pardon) and I don't think he realizes how big he is. My GTB nips at his feelers sometimes and he freaks out and scurries away. She (GTB) is about 2.5" and the crayfish is easily 3.5-4", he could eat that fish for lunch but he's too skittish. Probably comes from living in the tank awhile with a 8.5' Pl*co and an 8.25" iridescent shark (since moved to a bigger tank).

Loach motel... nice

i had a tank with bristlenose (ground control), and an angel (major tom).

Slorg.. thats just fun to type. slorg, lord of the loaches (say that fast a few times).

i like Doug for a loach.... or Slick Willie and the Spinners, a band of sorts. Bando and the Bandits, featuring Lattimer.

hehe, think i could go on for some time.

i ,too, rarely give permanent names... they have to earn it.

I had a friend Doug who had no job for a while and he was kind of a loach.. leech? Maybe just wanted a loa-n oohhhhh never mind . . .
