Name of Fish?

I was in a pet store last weekend and saw a fish I would like to purchase. Unfortunately I was flying home and didn't want to risk a plastic bag journey.

I forgot to write the name of them down and I'm hoping if I describe them, someone could get me the proper name so I can order them locally.

The juveniles were about 2" long with blunt noses. They had black bodies with horizontal blue lines. The adults looked to be about 5-6" with the same colouring. The partial name was electric blue something. They weren't electric blue haps. The guy at the fish store says they are chiclids, but I'm not sure.

im sure they're just some sort of african cichlid. were they pretty expensive? like 7-10 dollars for a small one?

Thanks guys. I found out it was an electric blue johannie, which won't go into either of my community tanks. Hmm, maybe time for another tank?
