Name these PLANTS

i do believe they are both a rare strain known as the red 'x'...

(i'm on a rather restrictive network)

Lighting is the most important thing for plants, and the most common reason for plants to die off, drop leaves, and have rotting stems.

If you have less that 2 watts of fluorescent light per gallon of water, your plants will struggle. Stem plants such as Wisteria, (Hygrophila difformis) will suffer the most. If you want more answers, provide more information: tank size, total wattage of bulbs, how long you leave the lights on, waer parameters...

30gallon, one 24" bulb, 8-10hours a day, so i have aprox 3/4watt per gallon, i will go buy another strip 2marrow... here are my new plants

Umm, no I don't think so. The first things right off the top of my head were wisteria and java fern as well.

If its a regular fluorescent bulb (long tube), then its only 20 watts, so you have about 0.6 watts per gallon. Thats not enough to grow most plants. Wisteria and Crypts will probably survive, but they won't exactly thrive IME.

That second picture looks to me like a red Crypt Wendti....with extra long stems.
