Nano Fish List

I knew it wasn't a stock list, I just wanted to let him know of all of the possible things that should be taken into account when/if he chooses any fish from the list.
You are right, those rasboras are a bit rare. At least from what I've seen. I have only seen Chili Rasbora once, and that was at petco. Those little guys were $6 a piece.

I once saw some chili rasboras at my lfs. They were so so tiny, but interesting to watch when you could see them.

I've thought about it and put together a possible stock list.

Scarlet Badis 2 M/F
Freshwater Neon Blue Goby*
Clown Kilifish 2 M/F
Sparkling Dwarf Gourami 2 M/F
Pygmy Cory 7
Fantail Guppy 6
Sparrow Rasbora 5
Electric Blue Ram 2 M/F
Peacock Gundgeon*
Furcata Rainbow 3
Amano Shrimp* 6
Malaysian Trumpet Snails*

Emerald Blue Rasbora 10
or
Celestial Pearl Danio 10

I love the look of both of these fish. It's going to be painful just choosing one. On the plus side the emeralds cost less. Ten celestials will cost close to $180. I'm already spending way more than I intended to on equipment.

I'd skip the gobies, they like a lot of flow. & get more furcatas. I'm not sure gudgeons can live well with rams, kinda similar in nature but not in size.

Where do you pay $18 for CPDs? That's more than 3x even when they were the "hot new species".

I know you want to have an active colorful tank but that seems like a lot of different species...

The tank should be well oxygenated enough for that species of goby at least. I'm going to use a G3 with spray bar return.

And those are Canadian CPD prices in Victoria...

It may be pushing it for species. A lot of them are very small though. They all are fairly similar as far as water parameters go, unless I'm missing something. Wasn't sure about the number of furcatas because they're on the larger side I think...

It's looks amazing.

Yes, they are the most beautiful freshwater fish imo. For some reason the most attractive varieties aren't common in the hobbly. The only way to get them is to pay $50 or over for eggs. I found a few sites that I may try. I didn't bother posting them here because you won't find them in a lfs.

That is crazy expensive for CPDs. Like you say, I paid $6/ea for them about 1.5yrs ago. I've got 6 of them in my 29g. Love the little buggers.
