I had a friend who set up a Solana and it was most impressive for a small system. Really like the look and the aquascape capabilities it offered becuse of its shape and size. Still nice and compact, but would certainly be a next step from the basic nano.
Noticed you commment about "pricey" and have you tried Cragislist for buying you new tank? As long as you know what you are looking for and what it costs new you can usually save 50%. Certainly worth a look.
