Nano Koralias

Well its not that many days difference if you look at the fact its only 3 days.. I hate it when it happens, but at least its not 3 months.

I have a MjMod kit comming that will basically turn my mj into a koralia. Its rating the mj 1200 at 1600 gph and we will see what that does to the tank.
Did you do this mod yet? I was looking at one too for my MJ1200s. Where did you get yours?

Well as it turns out... 4 arrived... Somehow a double order happened... but i got charged twice too.... So heres the deal... They are sending me a return label for 2 of them... The other two are already put into my tank... now im sitting here wondering... Do i keep the other two and put 4 of them in my tank??? That would be a nice 960gph of wide flow in my 30long (not including my return pump).. With my two in there now, and with my return pump, im moving about 700gph...

Heres my question: should i bite the extra charge and keep the other two?? that would be a highly customizable 1000+gph.. Is that too much/is what i have now not enough??

I am also getting a shipment of zoas and palythoas on tuesday... I just have a hard time biting the extra cost on a college budget... But is the benefit worth it with the extra corals that i will have in there..?

Here are some pics of them:

Like Jo said in your other post, I think your fine with 2.. I'd return the other 2 as you haven't said that you plan on doing any SPS.. If you were going to do SPS corals then I would keep them for the flow.

Robbie sorry I missed this yes.. I did the mod. While it says it will do 1600 gph I don't think its that much.. But it has GREATLY improved the performance overall. That and the mod I bought comes with its own mounting hardware for the tank.. Its kind of like a swing arm thing. I can't do the y axis but I can rotate it on the x axis.. I'm thinking the flow is around a #3 or #4 koralia which is find as it did get rid of the dead spot in my tank. Its a cheap way to recycle currently owned product.

Thanks! Sounds like the ones I just bought off of eBay.

So, ooja...what did you do with the extra equipment?
